- I>I have been told that the Courier does a better job adjusting for
- I>bad line conditions than the Sportster.
-
- The COURIER is a better modem overall (it's is a high-end modem compared
- to the low-ent Sportster). It's USR flagship and top-of the line
- product. I cannot do anything else than to recomend it %100.
-
- Besides, not only you're able to upgrade it via FLASH ROM (like other
- modems, and unlike the Sportster which requires $30-40 chipsets), but
- you can also add new protocols (for example 33.6) with just the new
- code. Unlike all other modems I know, it's the only one with the
- datapump as part of FLASH ROM (So I was told), so that why it's easily
- upgradable (Courier V.FC users just downloaded the new code to go to
- V.34, unlike most other brands which needed a hardware upgrade).
